Looking at old art really puts your skills in perspective. I was showing a friend my art from around senior year of high school (97) through about 2001 and surprised at how much I improved from back then. Also, shocked at how I thought I was any good back then, either. There was a random terrible drawing in the mix from when I was about 15 that made her laugh soooo hard. It was amazingly bad, back when I first started using crosshatching so everything shaded had lil X style hatches everywhere without any idea how to use them. We were decorating my room after my move, so she made me put up a couple of my newer drawings as well as that terrible piece of art. The price for making me put that up also was drawing me something, so I chose the dvd cover to the first season of Buffy the Vampire Slayer. haha

Pure awesomeness.
